Kiranti people are very ancient tribe in history .actually nobody khows when they came in nepal because these people are mentioned in ancient religion book of hindu like BED,PURAN,MAHABHART,SWASTHANI BRATA KATHA,HIMAVAT KHANDA ETC.These people are also mentioned in ancient Greek history, Chinese history and holy book of Sikh guru nanak.In Mahabharata once lord siba was went to nepal disguising himself as kiranti hunter and lord siba was again having incarnation of kiranti hunter and hunting around pasupatinath in SLESHMANTAK BAN.This can approved that kiranti people were already in nepal since ancient time actually no body’s knows the fact. According to Mahabharata when vimsen defeated  the seven kirant king in northern India that time to make him happy beautiful kirant ladys were bringing him mountain medicine,gold,silver and other precious things.it is also mentioned that beautiful kiranti kanya was digging the medicine in mountain with golden khurpi{a kind of tool.}Kiranti NEW YEAR it’s been already THE YEAR 5063 which is considered  The kiranti king yalamber stablish  that new year which is called YELE SAMBAT. In wallo kirant of kiranti people used to celebrate this new  year in the time of MAGHE SIRI PANCHAMI OR SUKLA PANCHAMI because these days are always considered lucky day for kiranti people.

Surel people were original Sunuwar who’s ancestors used to migrated from present day of Darkha Rasnalu Village Development Committee of Ramechchap District. Ancient Sunuwar kirant used to hunt in dense forest of TAMBE, CHORDUNG, JIRI as far as SAILUNG HILL All sort of animal including deadly animal tiger and beer as well. That time tiger, beer,jackel, fox and porcupine were considered enemy of human being in human society so who killed these animals were considered hero and saviour of society. When they kill tiger, beer and jackal the hunter carry them in door to door of community and community has to pay price as reward putting rice, money, raw eggs and sindur{A kind of red colour} on head of tiger, beer and jackel. This type of job used to done by Sunuwar kiranti because they were hunter people DUWAL BANDI SIKARI. They were very highly skilled hunter and doughty warrior as well. By the way of hunting process two Brother of SIKARI kirant went deep inside of Cherdung jungle and Disappear. They couldn’t find the way back to Rasnalu instead they went even deeper and deeper jungle present day of SURIKHARI. The brother questioned themselves where we reached and replied themselves saying Suri Khari. That means unknown dark place in Sunuwari language. Still the Sunuwar Jhankri use to say SURI KHARI, SURI DHOKA, SURI DHOL. Sunuwar people have belief bad spirit can take someone’s soul and spirit to the Suri Dhoka and closed so almost guarantee to die so Jhankri, Naso try to bring back SATO{soul} from Suri Dhoka by the help of mantra.

Kirant legendary aboriginal inhabitants of The Himalayas. Early references to the GOLDEN SKINNED kirant in Sanskrit literature portray them as fearsome skin-clad cannibalistic hunter, skilled in magical arts. In later Hindu Epics they are described as having their own kings who allied themselves with Hindu rulers but despised bramhans.In a well known Episode from the Mahavarata the god Shiva assumes the guise of kirata to do battle with the hero arjuna.The kirant have been associated with the kiranti of nepal like SUNUWAR, RAI, LIMBU AND YAKKHA.

KASTEN RONNOW in his long article “kirata” A study on some ancient Indian tribes published in 1936 has provided a detailed accounts of the kiratas.The subject is further highlighted in Encyclopaedia prepared by R.N SALETORE, ROBERT has touched on the subject without giving any details. SUDHAKAR CHATTOPADHYAH had tried to do justice with the subject concerned through his Important work. R.P. CHANDRA a celebrated Indian anthropologist and a highly accomplished scholar of indology has also made a historical study of a few ancient Indian tribes by taking a numismatic approach to the problem concerned. All of them mentioned about kirant which Is the most ancient tribe in Indian continent.

The Hindu religion:
There are different opinions regarding of the birth of Hindu religion. There is literally a tug of war between the scholars’ one in favour of Dravidian origin and other of Aryan origin. There is hardly any third opinion on that though a small section feels that it has originated from indigenous tribal of India. This is because no great man of this origin had ever tried to write or researched to claim that Hindu religion is born from their indigenous tribal faith. According to The greatest historian of Tripura state whose name is DR DEV BURMAN In his research One group of kiranti who ruled and left in Tripura state they still succeed to protect their kirant language intact from ancient kiranti language which is language of Borok race who live in Tripura state of India because this kiranti people were none stop ruled since 5000 years in northern India till British East India company which is later involved in British colony. Earlier the name of Tripura was Kiratbhumi, it's capital was in Tribeg. It means land of Kirat, the Tripuris used to be called previously. the word 'Tripura' originated from the king Tripur who happens to rule the state.
